 Scenic 4X4 Tours We offer all-day (9 hour) and half-day (4 & 5 hour) tours designed to help you experience the most incredible scenery in the San Juan Mountains. Whether you are looking for breath-taking mountain vistas, ghost towns, rugged alpine terrain, beautiful waterfalls or rare and colorful alpine flowers, one of our tours will suit your desires. We utilize only the most modern, well-maintained vehicles with personal attention and comfort guaranteed for our customers. Check out our outstanding five bay garage which allows us to provide the best maintained vehicles in the area. All tour vehicles are inspected and certified for safety and maintenance by the Public Utilities Commission of the State of Colorado.
 We also include historical narratives of mining structures, tutorials on the various flower/fauna species, and frequent stops for photos and rock collecting. Our experienced guides have over 100 years of combined experience and are dedicated to your complete enjoyment and satisfaction with your experience. All guides are CPR and first aid certified. Ponchos and warm blankets are on board our vehicles for your comfort. Switzerland of America, Inc. operates under a Special Use Permit on the Uncompahgre National Forest and is an equal opportunity service provider.
All day scenic tours depart at 8:00 A.M. and return at 5:00 P.M. Half day tours depart at 8:00 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. Morning departures during May & September to closing are at 8:30 A.M. We offer Children ages 4 through 12 reduced ticket prices and Children under 3 are free. We can pickup and drop off wherever you are staying in the Ouray town limits with prior arrangements. AAA and senior (65+) discounts are available.
